Prior to joining the firm, Scott served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton and Judge Eric E. Murphy of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Scott graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was an Articles Editor for the Michigan Law Review, Chair of the Speaker Committee for the Federalist Society, and a Senior Judge (teaching assistant) for the 1L Legal Practice course. He was a quarterfinalist in the Henry M. Campbell Moot Court Competition and was elected to the Order of the Coif.

Scott earned a Bachelor of Science from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as Vice President of the Penn Undergraduate Biotechnology Society, and Chair of the Life Sciences and Management Student Advisory Board.
