Xiaolin "Sunny" Chen* joined Kellogg Hansen as an associate in 2025.

Before joining the firm, Sunny served as a law clerk to Judge Roopali H. Desai of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and to Judge Miranda M. Du of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.

Sunny earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she received the Prosser Award for Constitutional Law and the Berkeley Law Opportunity Scholarship. While at Berkeley, she served as Supervising Editor of the California Law Review, Above the Line Editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal, and Associate Editor of the Ecology Law Quarterly. She was also involved in the Clean Slate Clinic, First Generation Professionals, and APALSA. Sunny graduated from Boston College, B.S., in Biology and a Minor in Women and Gender Studies, earning Dean’s List honors and membership in the AHANA Honor Roll.
