Donovan J. Hicks* joined Kellogg Hansen as an associate in 2025.

Before joining the firm, Donovan served as a law clerk to Judge Tanya S. Chutkan of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and to Judge J. Michelle Childs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

Donovan earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he served as Symposium Editor of the Stanford Law Review and received both the Criminal Defense Clinic Class Prize and the Spears Award for Outstanding Editorial Work. He was Co-President of the Black Law Students Association and earned Pro Bono Distinction. Donovan earned an M.Phil. from Trinity College Dublin as a George J. Mitchell Scholar and graduated magna cum laude from Wofford College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and named a Harry S. Truman Scholar, Bonner Scholar, and a Gates Millennium Scholar.
