Ella S. Chochrek* joined Kellogg Hansen as an associate in 2025.
Prior to joining the firm, Ella served as a law clerk to Judge Sandra S. Ikuta of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and to Judge Steven C. Seeger of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Ella graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. She served as Online Articles Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review. She received the Kirkland & Ellis Scholar Award for the highest grade in Civil Procedure and the Arlyn Miner Book Award for best final brief in legal research and writing.
Ella earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with College Honors from Washington University in St. Louis. She was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha, Sigma Tau Delta, and Order of Omega honoraries, and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Student Life newspaper.
